This was a great way to see Juneau and the surrounding area. The scenery was gorgeous. I did not research the weather, which was a mistake. I think this tour needs to be combined with the Real Alaska tour as it is just too far to travel for just 4 rides. I think there should have been rain gear reserved for us. The stuff I brought from home was not up to the job, and cruise ship people grabbed up my size at Cycle Alaska. I was able to get the right size pants on the 3rd ride. I also think there should have been gps files.

Fletch and Kyla were excellent tour guides from Cycle Alaska, Juneau. Routes were fun and some challenging grades; beautiful scenery.

I was unable to ride due to an injury the end of March. The crew was great and allowed me to ride along in the van, Tom did a good job with pre and post ride communication. It was great to be able to do Real Alaska back to back. I would love to do the trip again? Next time on a bike! Thank you!!

I had a great time. The hotel was perfect location walking distance to everything & our room had washer /dryer & a kitchenette which was great. Cycle Alaska is great company People Cycling partnered with (although the gears were never truly fixed on my rental). Cycling is a wonderful way to experience Alaska and I recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Juneau. I would do it again for sure.

About People Cycling

People Cycling is a bicycle touring club, which you can join for free. We offer Domestic and International Cycling Tours which are led by volunteer Ride Leaders. Our tours are made up of a small group of participants (typically 15-20 or so) who want to ride an average of 30 to 55 miles a day over a one or two week period in interesting regions of the world. Our tours range in price from frugal getaways to luxurious adventures. We travel road, gravel, or mountain bike styles, and all bicycle types – including e-bikes, recumbents, and tandems are typically allowed.

Our ride leaders are volunteers and do not financially profit on tours they lead. They are also given broad discretion on how to lead their tours, and we consider them our greatest asset.

People Cycling tours are operated at cost or at lower cost (as negotiated by our ride leaders) than individuals can obtain on commercial tours. Within the cost of a tour, there is a nominal fee to support club operations and provide tools to ride leaders to manage their rides.
