Welcome to Ireland’s legendary End-to-End trip – from Mizen Head in the very southwestern corner of the country to Malin Head at its northernmost. This route explores hidden Ireland, from pristine coastal routes, to sleepy hamlets and bustling port towns. Ireland is a country steeped in history, folklore and song. It’s warm welcome is famous the world over, but it's emerald Isle is best explored by bike.
This itinerary combines some of the island's best routes following a more direct path along both inland and coastal country roads. It takes in breathtaking scenery and many unique attractions that Ireland has to offer. The iconic ride is easily comparable to Lands end to John O'Groats and is a must have on any bicycle adventure list.
The total distance is just over 700 miles with a total ascent of around 35,000 feet. There are 17 required riding days giving a daily average of around 41 miles with an average of 1,900 feet of climbing. There are two (optional) rest days – in Navan and in Ardara. The shortest day is 29 miles and the longest is 51 miles. The biggest climbing day is 2,970 feet.
