The King of Kerry Ride explores deeply the County Kerry in the South West of Ireland, where we base ourselves in three fantastic locations, Kenmare, Killarney and Dingle. From there we explore by bike three breathtaking peninsulas in the shape of a crown, and delve into life in rural and coastal Ireland through interactions with the friendly local people.
The “Kingdom of Kerry” is one of the country’s most popular areas. Known for its enthralling combination of National Parks, epic mountains, sparkling lakes and lively towns. Shops, pubs, music venues and restaurants also abound – it’s not always about the bike!
The cycling is spectacularly scenic in this region, as we venture onto the Iveragh, Beara and Dingle Peninsulas, where we will climb some of Ireland’s well known mountain passes and gaps, including the Healy Pass, Molls Gap and the Ring of Kerry. The 9 day trip will start with an arrival night in Dublin (DUB) on August 8th, 2023, before transferring to Kerry and cycling 250 miles (400 kilometers) over six days – an average of approximately 42 miles per day (67 km). Our Irish adventure ends on August 16th with a coach transfer back to Dublin (DUB).
