The Rhine Source to Sea bike tour is a stunning 825 mile ride along the banks of the mighty Rhine River. This ride will take you through six countries: Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria, Germany, France and The Netherlands. From the Swiss Alps to the North Sea, the Rhine has been at the heart of central Europe's cultural and economic development for over 2,000 years.
Our route, which is basically downstream all the way, drops out of the Swiss Alps and arcs round to Lake Constance, and then on to Basel before heading north through Strasbourg. Passing west of Frankfurt, we continue through Bonn and Dusseldorf to Arnhem, then west to finish in Amsterdam. You’ll delight at exploring the beauty of this river landscape and the picturesque towns and villages lining its banks, a number of which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
